Strange building at Chayama

Strange building at Chayama

06/28 Friday
I was trying to work a bit in the morning before going to the university, so I have totally forgotten I wanted to leave earlier, so I could pay the rent at the bank. After leaving home I had to do that first, even knowing I would be late to classes – but in the end, I just missed 10 minutes, and in that class being late is not really an issue. Actually a strange thing I noticed is, that students often leave the classroom for a short break (toilet) even during class – which is rude and impossible in Hungary, and I wouldn’t do that ever. At home it can easily end with the teacher saying: “If you don’t find my class interesting you don’t even need to come back” – or something along those lines. Or is it a generational thing, and the youngsters do it in Hungary already as well? Hm…

Anyway, after classes I decided to drop by the Quanat Department store at Chayama. Actually I was thinking about checking out the stores better than before, and maybe also get an idea and ingredients for Sunday’s lunch. I also needed better shoes or sandals for summer, so yeah. The shoe issue is complicated, so after a quick round I went up to Uniqlo, and you know what, they had a discount again o_O I got two skirts and a top, so yay~ And going through all the shops I realized they have practically everything there. I found a shop for cute stuff, and got a frog spoon~~~ I saw there a straw hat I liked, and I might get it, because sometimes I just don’t feel like using the parasol, but the sun is just too strong. Oh, and Quanat has a 100-yen shop with very nice stuff, so yeah, I might get back for various things. Another hidden reason of my trip was the gacha, but the one I wanted to have disappeared already :( Finally I went to the Comic Storm shop for a few things, nothing much. I was pretty tired in the evening, and had to sleep early too, because of the Kobe trip.

06/29 Saturday
The day of the Kobe trip, though from the diary point of view this entry won’t be all that interesting. For the first time in a long while I had to get up at 5:45, and it was worse than expected. To think that just a few months ago I had to do this regularly, and there were even times I had to get up at 4:45… Almost unbelievable. The meeting point was around 8:15 at the Karasuma Hankyuu station, but with the early get-ups I get hungry earlier, so I got something at a conbini. To be safe I also got some cookies for later, and it was a good decision.

We went with the Hankyuu train to Kobe, and the whole trip was an hour or so – it’s not that far, so I can go back for sightseeing any time I guess. We immediately walked to the Konan University – the location of the workshop, and didn’t left till the end around 18:00. On the way I noticed a wild boar in a riverbed – OMG! O_O Nobody seemed to bother with it, only us “tourists”, so I thought there would be a reason for this. Among other things for the panel we received some stickers for the Konan Univ, and there were cute boars too, so yeah, there had to be something. It seems the boar are coming down form the mountain all the time, and since they are fed by people, they like it there. Very dangerous, I think, but seeing a boar there was still fun.

The other interesting point of the day was, what I could eat for lunch. First I had no idea what to do about it, and since at first it was like others would order bentous and sandwiches, I thought I will go with conbini onigiri. Then it turned out the school cafeteria is open, so we could go there. Of course there was hardly anything for me, but better than nothing. Still, I finished lunch quite hungry, so the cookies I got in the morning came very handy.

I was practically brain dead at the end of the workshop. There were some, who went to town after that, and it would have been great indeed, but I was just too tired, and getting home would take time too. I got back to Kyoto with the others, and arrived after 7. Since it was still early, I thought about going to a few shops in the shopping district, but due to my tiredness I just checked out one I haven’t been to before: the Animega and the stationary shop in the same place. The stationary shop is amazing, and Animega is a tiny Animate-like shop with less people – will be back there for sure. And the fun thing is, they had the gacha machine I was missing yesterday~ A nice ending for the day :D Well, after that I realized I totally passed by another one I wanted to try, but since it has an older release, it’s not everywhere, but my tired brain just didn’t register is ^^; Well, next time. The shopping district was very crowded this time – well, Saturday evening. I was just happy to get home.

06/30 Sunday
Today’s big mission was cooking. Usually it’s not a problem, but now I had to make a soup and a main dish as well, and with only one gas burner it was quite the challenge. But well, I did have the ingredients for the soup, so I just started with it early in the morning. When it was done, I put on the rice, which would take an hour anyway, and left for Life, because they had the better discounts. In the end I decided to make lecsó, and for the nice stuff I got a whole melon and small ice creams, so I wouldn’t have too much calories when eating one – though I was told I have lost weight, so it’s not a problem – I guess it’s the lack of Carbohydrate in my food here… Anyway, when I got home the rice was ready, and I quickly made the lecsó – I finished before noon, so yay~ After that it was just studying – I was still pretty much dead from the Kobe trip, so yeah…

Egyébként mi a helyzet?
